《太平圣惠方》是集北宋以前各种方书之大成而编纂成的一部大型方书,该书内容颇丰,涉及面广,对针灸的论述是针法、灸法俱载。对该书的灸法学思想进行了归纳总结,认为该书在倡导针法和灸法并重的同时,对隋唐时期部分医家偏重施灸的思想进行了批评和纠正,对灸法的适宜范围、施灸部位、灸量,以及施灸禁忌等提出了独到见解,为后世系统化和科学化研究灸法提供了思路借鉴。

Holy Benevolent Prescriptions is a great iatric book,which gathered various kinds of the iatric books before North Chinese dynasty. It contains the quite abundant contents and involves in the extensive aspects. The discussion of acupuncture and moxibustion not only involves in techniques of needling but moxibustion. Summarizing the thoughts of moxibustion in this book,we draw a conclusion that on one hand this book advocates techniques of needling and moxibustion have the same significance,and corrects the preference of part of acupuncturist to moxibustion,on the other proposes the distinct judgements about the eligible scope,executing location,grilling quantity,and grilling taboo of moxibustion,and offers the foundation to systematic and scientific research of moxibustion.
